Stealing From The Boys

Alright my fellow readers! (If any of you actually exist and come across my blog). I want to let you guys know that wearing clothes from the boys section is completely OKAY. If you ever come across a piece that you fancy, but stop yourself from buying it because it's from the men's section, then I tell you to stop and GO FOR IT. Wearing pieces from the boys section can be fun and a cool, new way to make it your own. It's also a great way to break barriers and show others that we can wear whatever we want no matter what section in a department store it comes from.

I currently work at Urban Outfitters and the moment I set my eyes on this top, I knew I had to have it. At first I was a bit hesistant on buying it because I wasn't sure if it was me. But after seeing it a couple times after, I purchased it and now it is mine. So here's my own take on this top!

The Story Behind The Romper

Do you guys ever run into a certain item in a store or maybe online, where you aren't sure if you would actually wear it or it's a bit out of your comfort zone? But it's so cute you just feel the need to buy it? Well this is exactly what happen to me with this little floral romper I got from Forever21. This romper happens to be backless and I honesly never wear things along this spectrum. I can barely wear a crop top unless I can find a way to cover myself. I guess it's because it makes me feel naked in a way, I don't know. However, I bought it anyway to try something new (of course I did). I was really close to returning it after, but I figured I could wear a basic top underneath and that is exactly what I did. So till I feel comfortable enough to wear it the way you're "suppose" to, this is my alternative.

A Simple Thrifting Attire

Going thrifting is always a fun thing for me to do. Also a cheaper way of spending money and coming out with more items than one. When going thrifting I like to wear the most comfortable attire. Why? Well because most likely I'm going to be trying on many items and I want to be able to change from one thing to another as quickly and hassle-free as possible. I honestly hate trying on clothes and if I can avoid it, I am a happy camper. But when thrifting it is one of those things I just can't avoid. So here's what I wore for a simple day of thrifting.

I kept it simple with a coral crochet top I thrifted a while ago. It is extremely hot outside (I live in Florida), so a light top will keep me from suffocating. I wore a pair of high-waisted jeans I bought recenly from Forever21, which have a nice fit and are flattering to my body. I also wore my sneakers so that I can walk around comfortably without my feet hurting. To finish off the look, I borrowed my sister's cat-eye shaped sunglasses, that she got from zeroUV, to add a bit of detail to my look. I honestly never wear sunglasses, but many I have come across lately have been calling out my name. Maybe that's one thing I'll be trying a lot more...soon.

So next time you go thrifting or want to try it for the first time, go as comforatble as possible. You don't have to sacrifice comfort!
