CollegeFashionista x boohoo.com
Thursday, October 1, 2015If I haven't mentioned this before, I currenly intern with CollegeFashionista. A fashion online publication that showcases fashion styles and trends on college campuses around the world. So far it's been a great ride! And maybe I'm being biased, but they're pretty RAD!
Recently, CollegeFashionista partnered up with boohoo.com to showcase the top 5 fall must-have trends of the season, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it!
I had the opportunity to pair up this corduroy, mustard playsuit with this killer double-buckel belt, I was dying to have! Both pieces make great statements, and pairing them together makes for a great fall outfit. If you like both of these pieces, make sure to check their website to find them. Also make sure to follow along with CollegeFashionista every week as we highlight the top 5 fall trends you need to have! You can also look up the #BoohooNation for some style inspo :)
Hope you guys like this outfit. Till next time!

Hearts, Arrows and Eyelashes

I know. I know what you're thinking. "Brisa, it's been over a month since you've posted, I thought you were dead!" BUT... I am very much alive! It's just been a little difficult posting ever since school started, and having to juggle going to work and my internships altogether is kicking my butt. But I've missed posting, so I have made it a goal to try to post more frequently!
Today's post is my way of keeping it simple. The heat down here in Miami has me melting and has me digging for short sleeves I don't seem to have a lot of. Luckily, I pulled out this quirky Zara top with cute embroireded patches—aren't the hearts, arrows and eyelashes cute? And paired it with my thrifted mom jeans for a casual, comfortable look. Sometimes less is more. And sometimes less will somewhat save you from a heatstroke.
Hope you guys have a fun weekend! Till next time!

HAI GUYS! Hope your week has been off to a good start!
Click below for my latest video! :)
As you may know now, I enjoy the art of thrifting. It's fun, exciting and you get to find one of a kind pieces that no one else might have. So for today's post I thought I show you guys an entire outfit that's been thrifted. Excluding the belt, which I can't remember where I got it from.
Also I will be leaving a link to my latest Youtube video, so make sure to check that out too! Till next time, GOODBAIII!

BACK FROM THE DEAD.
HAI GUYS! I'm back from the dead! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I was without internet service and I traveled to NYC for the first time this past weekend! But I'm back with a new post! After putting this outfit together I came to realize that I need to wear more denim and white. On top of that, I felt extremely comforable and that's always a plus. For a while now I been searching for a pair of high-waisted denim shorts, but either they were to expensive or just not the ones I wanted. Turns out I had to travel all the way to New York to find a pair. I visited Crossroads Trading, which is a very well known thrift store, especially to fashion bloggers. I had to go check it out, and in doing so I ended up finding and buying these cute Arizona shorts for only $13! I was a happy camper.
I paired them up with my Zara white top and my new pair of New Balance high-top sneakers I purchased at one of the NY UO stores. I also tried the top knot bun and I think it will now be my go-to hairstyle! If I can manage to finally learn how to do it on myself without my sister's help (hairstyles are not my forte). Hope you guys like this outfit of the day post! Till next time! GOODBAII.

Happy 4th of July!
Saturday, July 4, 2015Happy 4th of July! Hope you guys enjoy the day and remain safe while doing so. For those of you who still have no idea what to wear for today's event and need a little outfit inspo, here's an ootd for you!
I wore a simple blue jumpsuit and paired it with a braided belt. Jumpsuits are perfect because it makes it easier for you to have an outfit all in one. They are also quite comforable and fun to play with it. I added my black hat and a pair of sunglasses for a bit of an outdoor easy vibe look and my american flag high-top coverse to go along with the 4th of July theme! My goal in this outfit was to achieve comfort and functionality. Nothing is worse than feeling uncomforatble in an oufit, in an event you're suppose to enjoy. So have fun experimenting and playing around with different options, I'm sure you'll find something that will make you feel good!
