A Simple Thrifting Attire

Going thrifting is always a fun thing for me to do. Also a cheaper way of spending money and coming out with more items than one. When going thrifting I like to wear the most comfortable attire. Why? Well because most likely I'm going to be trying on many items and I want to be able to change from one thing to another as quickly and hassle-free as possible. I honestly hate trying on clothes and if I can avoid it, I am a happy camper. But when thrifting it is one of those things I just can't avoid. So here's what I wore for a simple day of thrifting.

I kept it simple with a coral crochet top I thrifted a while ago. It is extremely hot outside (I live in Florida), so a light top will keep me from suffocating. I wore a pair of high-waisted jeans I bought recenly from Forever21, which have a nice fit and are flattering to my body. I also wore my sneakers so that I can walk around comfortably without my feet hurting. To finish off the look, I borrowed my sister's cat-eye shaped sunglasses, that she got from zeroUV, to add a bit of detail to my look. I honestly never wear sunglasses, but many I have come across lately have been calling out my name. Maybe that's one thing I'll be trying a lot more...soon.

So next time you go thrifting or want to try it for the first time, go as comforatble as possible. You don't have to sacrifice comfort!

What Makes You, Feel You?

For as long as I can remember I have always been that quiet, awkward girl. Preferring to observe and listen, than to go on and participate. The thought of doing so always scared me and it still does till this day. Every now and then it does get a bit harder to deal with, but I try my best to keep going. We can't all be perfect.

At some point in my life, I want to say right after high school, I found the world of fashion. It was a realm where I could truly express myself through what I was wearing without the need of having to speak to anyone. Through what I chose to wear, I could give others a sense of who I was and I began to feel more comfortable with my being. In some way, I had found my calling. I guess what I'm trying to say is that finding a way to express myself through what I wore has helped me get a better sense of who I am and has made me less afraid to present myself to a group of people. I can walk in and say I'm here without saying a word.

I usually dress according to how I feel, so for today I wanted to wear something simple and comfortable since I was feeling pretty neutral. I've never really managed dressing womanly-like and not sure if I ever will. But I guess that's who I am and.... possibly my awkward inner child still looking to make a friend and place in this world.

So now I ask you. What makes you..well...feel you?

PAMM: A Little Walk Around A Gallery

If there's one thing I've learned so far about life is that you never know what's in store. Anything can happen at any given time or day. We can never really prepare ourselves for the unexpected. But maybe that's the point? Cause if we did, then things probably would be quite as the same and we wouldn't be able to learn from our mistakes.

However, though life has it ups and downs, it always seems to give us something to wonder about, to enjoy or find inspiration from. Recently, I went to an art gallery called the PAMM. It is indeed a nice, quiet place where you're free to roam around its quarters and enjoy its wonderful art pieces. Art is a very intricate realm and I'll admit I find it very hard sometimes to understand some of its meaning. But then I think to myself that maybe there isn't much to understand? Sometimes the fact that it conjures something up in your mind and heart is just enough. One of the great things about art is that its open for interpretaion. You and I can look at the same painting or piece and feel or think about it differently. The way we see it isn't necessarily right or wrong.

Appreciate the world of art and the artists who put so much time and work into their craft. They are indeed a work of art in itself.

So to those who need a little inspiration or need a quiet place to think and enjoy, maybe go out to your local art museum one day. You never know, it might just spark a little light.

S P R I N G : Red Meets Pink

I am very happy with the fact that the cold weather is on its way to disappearing. Though Florida barely experiences cold weather, the times that we do, I completely hate it. I become paralyzed and feel like I can't do anything.  Now that it's almost to its end, I am finally able to wear what I want without the cold temperatures ruining everything.

So here's to spring and it's nice, warm and blooming weather!
